I am an associate professor in the School of Meterology (SOM) at the University of Oklahoma (OU). Currently, I am interested in radar polarimetry and interferometry for weather quantification and forecasting. Prior to joining SOM, I worked as a scientist in the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). My research interests there included the modeling of wave propagation and scattering in geophsycial media and the development of remote sensing techniques for environmental monitoring.
I received a B.S. degree from Anhui University, China with a major in Physics. I later received a M.S. in Radio Physics from Wuhan University. From the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, I received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Thesis: Detection and Imaging of Targets in the Presence of Clutter Based on Angular Correlation Function).
Outside of my research interests, I also enjoy playing pingpong and badminton.
