During the summer of 2011, we operated the RaXpol for a short experiment to collect data for Alex Lyakhov's REU project and collected a tornado case in Osage County, OK.
The AIR collected its first tornado case near Carmen, Oklahoma on 14 May 2012.
During VORTEX-SE IOPs in 2017, we worked with Mike Biggerstaff to collect RaXpol data on Sand Mountain in Northeast Alabama.
The PX-1000 has been deployed to Colorado several times to provide critical data in gap regions where NEXRAD coverage is limited. Data are used by local, state, and federal agencies for flash flood and fire monitoring.
