I am an undergraduate research assistant co-advised by Dr. Ruyle and Rosalind Agasti and will pursue a M.S. in antenna design upon completion of my B.S. in EE. My work pertains to researching and designing a dual-polarized horn filtenna that functions in the CBRS band. We are investigating the use of this filtering antenna as part of an ESC sensor in a coastal area where 5G and LTE basestations are dense and the primary user of the CBRS band (navy radars) are frequent occupants. We plan to demonstrate increased sensitivity of the ESC sensor with the frequency and spatial filtering antenna.
